PATHWAYS TO PURPOSE PROGRAM

Welcome to the Pathways to Purpose Program! We’re thrilled you are interested in considering our extraordinary leadership development program.

The Pathways to Purpose Program is a series of workshops and meaningful individual and group activities for young women and girls to be inspired as future leaders and creators of solutions for the greater Chicago community and beyond. 

Program Mission:

Empowering young women to discover their passion, and skills, and life purpose to build a successful future. 

Program Eligibility includes: 

  • A young woman or girl (ages 12-18) who is inspired to be their best self now and, in the future, personally and to their community. 

  • The young woman or girl is required to commit the time to actively engage and participate in program activities, assessments and workshops. 

Program Benefits include: 

  • Thoughtful and creative workshops and exercises to identify life paths, skills and strengths to achieve your dreams and live your purpose.

  • Development of essential skills for personal and professional success to help you identify early the best classes to take in high school and beyond.

  • Networking opportunities and mentorship, and internships

  • Supportive, dynamic and fun environment with other young women and mentors from a variety of cultures and backgrounds with the common goal of building a successful future.

  • Opportunities for self-discovery and increased self-confidence. Build your Vision Board!

  • Exposure to a deep variety of traditional, and non-traditional career options and industries. 

  • Participation in community activities and events to help others.

Program Requirements include: 

  • Attendance at a minimum of 4 program workshops (each scheduled from 2 to 4 hours per session). Workshops will be held between two and four weeks apart. Workshops will not extend beyond May 2025.

  • Participation in orientation workshop, which will be held on the same day and immediately prior to the first workshop.

  • Participation in internship (up to 4 weeks).

  • Participation in one-on-one mentorship sessions (up to 5 total throughout the program).

  • Participation in community and holiday activities (up to 3 throughout the program).

LRIRC PROGRAM PHASES

Phase 1 – Meet and Greet Event – took place on October 12, 2024

Phase 2 – Community and Holiday Activities (Invitations to participate in community events)

Phase 3 – Workshops

(Workshops will be structured with group panelists, a moderator and individual 1-on-1 sessions)

  • Self-Discovery and Goal Setting

  • Exploring Different Fields and Industries

  • Strengthening and Optimizing Skills and Talents

  • Maximizing Confidence and Resilience

  • Planning for the Future

Phase  4 – Program Completion Event (May or June - TBD)

Phase  5 – Internship (2 – 4 weeks)

  • Upon completion of workshops, participants will have the opportunity to apply for a 2–4-week internship

  • Internships will be tailored to match each participant's identified passion and skill set

Phase  6 – Continued Mentorship

(This is optional. After the program ends, those that are interested can participate in the LMO Foundation mentorship program.)
